Safe Process Control at a Chemical Plant
Critical temperature and pressure parameters brought under safe, alarm-managed and remotely monitorable control.
- Staged alarm levels
- 3
- Safety incidents since
- 0
- Remote monitoring
- 24/7
The problem
When process parameters approached critical thresholds, the system could not warn the operator in time. The intervention window was narrow and the plant's safety depended too heavily on human attention.
The solution
We added redundant sensors at the critical points and implemented staged alarms plus automatic safe-shutdown logic on the PLC. On the SCADA screen, every parameter approaching a threshold is visually escalated. Remote access lets the engineering team monitor the system even when off site.
