The problem
The plant had a single total electricity bill and no idea which department consumed what. Savings targets were being discussed, but what cannot be measured cannot be improved.
The solution
Starting at the main distribution board, we installed analysers and meters down to department and critical-machine level. All data is collected in a single monitoring platform, and consumption reports are generated automatically per shift, department and machine. Filtering was recommended for the harmonic issues found during the power quality analysis.
